Getting his Masters or PHD would be important in which school he would attend MUCH more than an undergrad.
Maybe he thinks he will learn a lot in an undergrad program, but I think he will be greatly disappointed when he leaves school on the amount of schooling he does receive. I disagree, some of my most valuable, interesting classes were in the business undergrad program.

But were those classes offered anywhere else? Or only at that school that you attended? Undergrad business programs are fairly standard, unless you end up at Michigan or an Ivy League school.
He will need just a basic business background to count his millions he makes in the NBA and he can hire someone that went to one of the "good" schools to do his accounting and investing.

I don't have comprehensive knowledge of what various business undergrad programs offer on an class by class basis. I just wouldn't be so quick to write them off in lieu of "Gen. Eds", for instance.

HB is extremely proud of the town he grew up in, and the state he is from. I really hope that the folks at those other schools were truly dumb enough to say those things to his face...

This is accurate (I used to live there as well). I always liked schools that had a true campus and ISU has a gorgeous one. Never liked the urban sprawl schools like Minnesota, Marquette, etc.

Re: Is Harrison Barnes backing away from Duke?
First off, I have tremendous respect for Coach K and the Duke basketball program...and Harrison Barnes may very well end up being a Blue Devil...but if you want to read some arrogant posts from some fans with very, very, very, swollen ego's. Go to Duke's rivals site and read what they think Iowa State's chances are of getting Harrison.
Most of them go as far as saying we have a 0% chance...it's like they think it's their right to have who they want, and there is no way anyone could pick Iowa State over Duke...even a kid from Ames, Iowa. Also keep in mind that 99.9-100% of them have no inside knowledge other than what we've all heard and read about Harrison's recruitment.
It's almost enough for me to hope he goes somewhere other than Duke if he doesn't pick the Clones. But in my own personal OPINION, it'll either be us or Duke for Harrison.

Big time schools are used to plucking the states best players. Believe it or not, not many outside of Iowa and outside of the Big 12 know much about Iowa State or Ames.
IMO, when you go dancing every year, make a handful of Final Fours and win an NCAA title or two, you have the right to be a little bit arrogant.

Not to pick on you but this is the stuff that makes me laugh. No one truly knows what HB is going to do but HB and his mother. How does anyone know that he will "probably only stay one or two years and take Gen Eds".
Basically anything you read, unless it is a direct quote is pure speculation. Again nothing against what you posted. Just emphasizing comments in the article and posts are just pure speculation. Time will only tell.

IMO, when you go dancing every year, make a handful of Final Fours and win an NCAA title or two, you have the right to be a little bit arrogant. 1st...-this is just my opinion
2nd...-evidently I care a little bit to answer your question
3rd...-I like to think I have a little bit of knowledge of college basketball (more than you), so I am quite aware of outsiders views on Iowa State basketball.
4th...-I'll wager a bet that 0-0.3% of those fans saying that ISU has a 0% chance at Barnes has had a single thing to do with Duke reaching a handful of final fours or winning an NCAA title or two...so I really don't see how they have much of a right to be too arrogant.
5th...-why respond if you don't care about my opinion that you quoted? I always get a kick out of people taking the time to respond to posts that they "don't care" about.
Then again, I realize you have to have a negative perspective towards ISU basketball in absolutely every single debate, or every single topic that comes up, regardless of topic.

What he should do is graduate mid-term from AHS and start playing college ball this December, preferably at ISU. Playing another year at AHS is not going to do anything for his game. He could possibly complete his undergrad degree in 2 1/2 years at ISU or another school.

Just for fun, because we know that what I'm about to post is nothing but some geek with a computer goofing around, how crazy would this site get if something like that situation were to happen?
Is that even legal, BTW, to graduate high school in mid-December, and play in January at ISU? I can't really imagine that it is, but it would make an incredible bunch of hype heading into the conference season. He wouldn't be a bad addition, if we had to take him.
