Considering McD has seen both of them play a few times, I think he's probably more qualified to make that call.

I'm sure after around 20th the rankings don't matter too much but that still is a little discouraging.

I actually meant my comment to be a shot at "rankings" and NOT Ejim or Doug.

I'm very happy and excited to have Melvin as a commit for ISU.

Yeah...their games are no where close to the same. Just labeling the SF doesn't mean anything.

About two months ago I would have said, not good...but I have reason to believe he is still considering walking on...we are probably in his top 4(UNI, Creighton, Central Florida, and ISU)

That's got to be hard for him. I can certainly see the appeal of playing for your dad. I'm sure anyone can see the difficulties and inevitable (and unfair) critiques that would come with it.

Yeah...biggest problem: Tweener

The tough part for him will be the 2 to 3 years in the weight room before he gets a chance to play.

Doug's situation is really an interesting one. I think he could go to a UNI, Creighton, or Central Florida and make a big impact. But I also think that with a little bit of luck, he could make a big impact at Iowa State. Of course, since Barnes will be coming here, if I were Doug I'd want to get in on that. :)
