Barnes to Make Early Decision

Per the DSM Register:

Harrison Barnes says he will make college basketball choice early | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register

Since he's only taken one official visit and he's now ready to make his decision in the fall instead of spring, I'm wondering if this is a bad sign...

He will make his decision after all his visits, and Iowa State's is last, which I like.

we have pretty much known that he is not coming here, but some people still like to keep the hope up i guess

I think he's saying he realizes he'll see what he needs to see by the end of Fall and be able to make a decision. I don't think it hurt or helped our chances.

I can't imagine 2 months from now when this is all over. What will the internet and CF be like?

I do. If one of his priorities is a chance to win big, I think he would have seen that realized in the performance and success of this year's team. I mean, if he signs elsewhere, it's not like he can opt out of his LOI next April after we go 30-5.

I think it would have helped had he watched us play a season with a full roster of returning players. Other than that I don't think it helps or hurts.
