Rumor on Panthernation is that Doug is going to be a Panther. It is just rumor at this point, but apparently coach Jake had some sort of tease on twitter today.
good fit for him....if he came to ISU he would just sit the bench but i think he will do great at UNI. Plus it will make the ISU UNI game alot more interesting
I was hopeful that he might come to ISU and eventually develop, but I can certainly respect the decision to go to UNI and become his own man. Good luck Doug!
Good thing for everyone involved. A father-son duo is always a tough situation in a locker room. It's presents a different kind of tension because it brings with it a different set of expectations. There are just too many ways for something to be taken the wrong way by the father/coach, the son/player or the others watching the dynamic play out.
Good for Doug, I'm sure UNI is the only other place he'd want to play.
Good for Doug. As others have said, a nice fit for both him and UNI. Should be very little learning curve for him to adapt to Coach Jake's system/terminology.

He will do great at UNI, but wasn't good enough for ISU? I believe Doug has worked himself up to be a top 150 recruit if I'm not mistaken, and some places have him rated higher than Ejim who just commited to ISU.

ISU did want him to walk on...Chose to do his own thing. Totally different player than Ejim.
