Injuries
I have to admit that I'm optimistic about this season (and I've been accused of being "the biggest koolaid drinker on the site"), but looking through the media day coverage on clonezone, a common theme got me a little concerned.
For one thing, I hadn't realized that Jamie Vanderbeken had been injured (broken foot?) trying out for the British team. Apparently he still isn't working out. Then I saw that Craig has a sprained knee, and will be taking it easy for a couple of weeks. Couple that with Diante's broken foot(?) from this summer, and maybe another injury that's slipping my mind, but all of them together almost seem endemic, and could be a problem if they continue through the season.
After all, the football team has struggled with nagging injuries (Darks, Sed, Houston, Money, Rashawn...). I still have visions of WJ limping through the season two years ago.
Of course, perhaps they are getting all of the injuries out of the way now, and will be completely healthy come conference play, and through the NCAA's. I guess we'll see. "Hey! I'm building something here!"

Re: Injuries
I think Craig and Diante are good to go. Craig at least said he was 100%.

Re: Injuries
I was going by the quote of trainer Vic Miller in today's Register: ISU Men's Basketball: Brackins, Staiger hope to have a ball in March | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register
Brackins' confidence is high, too, despite spraining his left knee during a pickup game last month.
"It shouldn't affect him as the season goes," trainer Vic Miller said. "We're going to slow him down a little to see how he responds to daily practice routine.
"By the time we're going in full, hard practice in the next couple weeks, he'll be fine." Surprisingly good Cyclone coverage today, for those who criticize "The Rag".

Re: Injuries
I freaking hate injuries. (I know, im capt obvious).
Just seems like injuries always rain on my parade. (Wes Johnson 2 years ago, etc etc etc) Id rather just flat out suck than lose games due to key injuries.
See ISU vs KSU in Arrowhead stadium.
I hate thinking about the "what if so and so was healthy......." scenarios.
