Basketball Recruiting Update: Randle on Campus..and Who Else?
This weekend has turned into a somewhat important one for the Iowa State men’s basketball program on the recruiting circuit.
Chasson Randle, a 2011 guard prospect out of Rock Island, Ill. is on campus for an unofficial visit.
A 2013 prospect made the trip north as well. That’s Des Moines Roosevelt’s Peter Jok. Jok of course is in Ames on an unofficial visit.
In one more basketball recruiting note, 2010 JUCO prospect John Wilkins was supposed to make the trip this weekend but could not come in the last minute. Wilkins is a 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward, who is currently attending Southeastern Community College in Iowa.

Re: Basketball Recruiting Update: Randle on Campus..and Who Else?
why doesn't ESPN have ISU listed under who Randle is considering?
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. ESPN doesn't list us because it is a courtesy visit. -
Re: Basketball Recruiting Update: Randle on Campus..and Who Else?
Wilkins is an athletic face up four man. He is very, very skilled. Came to the US and played AAU for three weeks in 2008, and then committed to Bradley over interest and offers from Kansas, Minnesota, and several others. He is now at SCC, and RS'ed last year, because his gades didn't transfer from Belgium, where his father moved to continue his playing career after retiring from the NBA. Can play the wing, or the four, and can guard the 3 or 4. Very similar to UNC's John Henson.

He's got three years of eligibility. I know that some heavy hitters are starting to watch him. Should be an interesting recruitment. Daniyal Robinson is recruiting him for the Clones.

Originally Posted by ISUonthemove Between us and Illinois, or are there other schools involved we should be worried about? Rumor has it that Duke is sniffing around. Pretty much the entire Big 10 has offered the kid. He'll be a tough one to land but ISU is certainly in the hunt. He's got a great relationship with Coach Robinson.
