Crowd at Black Hills State game

I could not make it up to the game but how was the crowd? Was anybody in the upper deck at all or did everyone move down?

You could put everyone from the upper level in the lower level and it still wouldn't have filled the lower level entirely. Maybe 6-7K there at most

HS playoffs had to effect it a little. I know 5 that would have been there otherwise.

I just realized I'm going to have to make another decision Friday since M'town won.

The speakers had issues tonight. But I don't think they ever announced to move down either.

It sounded like only the ones on one half were on...so on my side it was garbeled and hard to understand.

I thought the crowd looked adequate on CZ for an exhibition game. I would expect more people there on Friday...all things considering. Would be nice for the students to step up and show some hospitality to our guest...now is your chance, and when better to do it when everyone is jacked up on the way our team is playing? Believe me, if I could be there I would join right in.

On another note, does anyone know why we don't do a "midnight madness" kind of thing for opening practice like other schools do?

I hate that the passion for ISU BB that Johnny inspired in the early and mid eighties seems to have died. Half full...even for a lousy exhibition game would have never happened back when I was in school in the mid 80s. And we certainly wouldn't have been "OK" with it if it did. Oh well, things obviously change.
