Scott Christopherson's Injury
We all gasped when Scott Christopherson went down in the second half. He came back to play just minutes later.
I asked Coach McDermott about this after the game and he assured me that Scott cramped up and is just fine.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
Good news....this team needs to avoid injury in order to exceed expectations.
I'm looking at Christopherson to be that guy that makes some crunch 3 pointers this year.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. -
Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
Looked like he popped his kneecap out of place from where I was standing. Which is typically about as bad as cramps but still spooky.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
Other than Brackins and maybe Hamilton I think that this team may be deep enough to handle some short term injuries better than any team we've had in decades. Let's just hope that we don't have to find out.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
Not gonna lie, when I saw Scotty C go down on the sideline, I got really nervous. Last thing we need are more injuries in another major sport. But, when I saw him check back in and run like nothing happened...I had no more worries. Glad everthing is alright.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
Christopherson has some crazy hustle, almost too much for some one that has torn an acl - if memory serves me right- im affraid if he doesnt hold back A LITTLE it will be a short season, wish he didnt have to worry about it, but i would like to see him play the rest of his career at isu, than save one or two balls out of bounds... what ever he thinks he can do, ill be happy tho, just needs to think bout the long run... he has some huge potential

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
I really don't think that you can play to not get hurt. In fact, I think doing so makes another injury more likely. -
Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
He is a nice looking player. It was good to see him get back in the game.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
It was clearly cramps when I saw him getting a rub down near the exit. It looked like he was going to the locker room, but stopped before the exit and got his leg massaged. I felt better when I saw that, because I thought it was a knee problem initially.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
very true in some surcumstances. but when he went down, he was straight up hustling, which is what we need, but the end of the play you have to hold urself back from flinging yourself out of bounds around another player when you would think his knee would be injury prone. ino its easyer said than done, expecialy with some that is as competitive as he came off. good open Christopherson.....
thank god basketball is starting, finally some good info and forums going on.

Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
When it first happened, it looked like he was in a lot of pain and that he was worried about his knee. My first thought was, good bye Mr. Christopherson. Hello kick to the nuts.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -
Re: Scott Christopherson's Injury
He reminded me a lot of a light version of Matt Gattens last night. Solid all around player. Perfect for this team.
