I respect your logic. I just don't see OU ever winning it all. Capel is good, but not that good. I wouldn't be shocked if Iowa St. is better than OU this year.

My only point regarding this is that if I was a high school kid, and I wanted to "win it all" and was picking from the teams HB is picking from, I would go 1. UNC 2. KU 3. Duke 4. UCLA 5. OU 6. ISU. It's no knock against you guys. It's just that I have heard that the biggest reason HB will go somewhere is to compete for a NC. I now live in NYC and have and always will hate the Yankees but if I was offered 20 million per year from the Yankees, Padres and Royals - I would pick the Yankees just so I could compete for a championship even though Im from Lawrence (and would be selling out my friends who are Royals fans) and I think San Diego is the nicest place to live in the country.

That was something that HB said this past winter, but I don't think he ever said that it was his biggest concern. If I remember correctly, HB said that is a factor that he is looking at, as well as a good business school and a bunch of other things.

I'm sure he still would like to win a NC, but the fact is there are few teams that are picked to win a NC and do. Even with HB, no matter what school he goes to, there is still a slim chance at winning it all and for that reason I wouldn't be surprised if that is no longer high on his list.

My guess is, knowing what I do about his mother (what I've heard by people who know her personally), deace's points have not gone unthought of by the Barnes family.

I thought Chris did a nice job in the interview. Unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the other guy. I thought his rambling was odd, off-topic, and perhaps somewhat offensive to the Barnes family. Weird segment, in my opinion.

I would have thought the feelings would be mutual due to some of the success that ISU has had against KU relatively speaking.

My dislike of KU centers around the "Phantom 3" game. I have no problem with reasonable fans, however.

Personally I think Kansas is really low in the running, based on what you've said, etc...I think OU has more of a chance than KU. But this is just my opinion.

I probably shouldn't bring it up -- but you've forgotten the not-too-long-ago Iowa top talents that KU stole away.
