    Thanks, and good luck.
The only reason i think would be that would just slap ISU right in the face.

Especially with practicing and playing pick up games with the ISU guys for a few years now.

I understand it's a slap in the face, but is it really? This way his mother and sister can easily drive to KU home games and he also get's to return home once a year.

Also, I have to think that McDermott and the players are friends with HB and won't consider it a slap in the face if he goes anywhere. I know if I had a friend and he chose to go to a rival, he would still be my friend.

Anyways, I understand your perspective, I just can't figure out how it's such a big slap in the face. I don't consider KU-ISU to be Duke-UNC like. For the most part, I'm pretty sure our fans like and respect you guys (sans Larry Eustachy)

As long as you're beating us...

Hard to fathom why HB would chose KU over ISU when it's been well proven teams can do very well at Ames. He was born, raised, and fed at ISU.

What would Kansas fans have thought if Danny Manning or Wilt Chamberlin chose ISU over Kansas?

We have no idea of how players would view it. I do know he's become quite close to this group of players in Ames.

And I'm not one of the many KU haters here. I have appreciation for programs that win and can sustain it year in and year out. I just hope we kick the **** out of you this year and again next year - with HB.

HB is not going to KU, they are not even in the top 3. If HB plays in the Big 12, it will be at ISU.

Fair enough on you guys wanting to win.

I think our only hope is that the "slap in the face" isn't a factor. Otherwise, I think its UNC or ISU.

Also, I predict you guys beating us this year in Ames. I think we lose at Texas, at ISU and maybe at Tennessee.

As for HB, time will tell. I just want you guys to know that we won't be rubbing it in your faces or anything if he does choose KU. I hope he does but I think its wide open between UNC KU and ISU.

OK, I understand and have heard this. But why do you think that way. I still haven't heard an explanation beyond the "slap in the face" argument. Is that the reason you are so sure?

I am pretty sure he doesn't want to get beat up by football players so that is why KU is out of the running.

Read my quote above. He has played with our guys and in our facilities.
I think any school besides a Big 12 school and he will still be able to continue to, if it's Kansas or Okie, then we need to think about it.

ya the football fight was idiotic. Def. hurt our chances with a classy guy like HB. Tyshawn started banging Briscoe's ex and that's what caused the whole fight. And of course the Morris' twins ran their mouth the next morning causing another fight.
