Amen. It's exciting!

I'd go with Ham as well...though I'd bet the line-up changes based on who we are playing.
My opinion only... but it doesn't matter who starts... we have to pick 5... oh well. Everybody gets the share of the time that they deserve and you increase that by playing well and playing hard while you're in. We've got a lot of guys who are playing well and playing hard. Which means it's going to be tough on our opponents. We've got a good thing going... and I think our players understand that better than most of us do.
This team is really deep! A couple seasons ago Palo and Oliver would probably have to play out of necessity but now we have the luxery to redshirt them which I am guessing both will? Palo is basically the 4th PG on the team so no reason to waste a year of eligibility. Oliver looks talented but he needs to put some meat on that long frame of his.
I love the depth at PG. Buckley seems a little more trim this year and looks quicker because of it. Colvin is going to push DG and Buckley for minutes too.
Lots of depth in the post too. Ham looks like he's added more muscle and Gilstrap and Dendy both add some much needed length and athleticism. Very impresed that Dendy can step out and hit some jumpers too. Not sure Pomlee sees much time and I think VanderBeeken is going to see him minutes go down too.
I'd like to see what this team is made of against some better competition before I get too excited but there is no doubt this is Mac's best team thus far at ISU.
My vote also goes for Ham to get the nod.
Also, they better redshirt Oliver. He is good but there just isn't enough minutes to go around and he will be soooooo much better after he hits the weight room!
I like Hamilton starting. With the mass he's put on in the offseason he's more ready to handle the physical play in the Big12. I think that it will be a 3 person rotation in the 4 and 5 spot this year. Just think of how good Brackins will be if he can actually get some rest.
Also, coming into the season I didn't think that Garrett would get the start but with all of the scoring we've got around him now I think he may get the nod.
G - Garrett
G - Christopherson
F - Gilstrap
F - Brackins
C - Hamilton
We saw the starting line-up in the lat exhibition game:
Garrett
Lucca
Gilstrap
Brackins
Hamilton
DG
Chrisopherson
gilstrap
brackins
dendy
Since Hamilton has started both preseason games, I'm pretty sure that's how they'll come out when the real bullets fly. However, Hamilton started a lot last year, but only played 13.7 minutes a game. I expect his playing time to go up some this year, but not much. Maybe 15 minutes a game.
I think we'll see that Scott stretches the defense just as effectively as Lucca. Just a guess though.
I think Lucca gets the starting position as long as he can play good D. We've yet to see if he can really defend since overcoming his injury, but I think this is the only reason someone else would take the spot from him. He has such a good shot and better decision making than Christopherson, so I see Garrett taking his starting spot before Christopherson does (with either Buckley or Colvin at the 1).
