Gary Parrish Loves the Big 12 This Year

Re: Gary Parrish Loves the Big 12 This Year
without a doubt this year marks the most anticipated basketball season in my eyes for quite a few years. I'm looking forward to what this team can achieve. There are a lot of unkowns and a lot of stiff competition so it should be a fun and exciting year. Here's to playing in March in the big dance.

I throw OU in the tossup category and probably not even the best of that group. In fact, I think they are overrated. To young.

Guys are playing over 100 games a year in High School now and leaving college after one or two years. There really isn't any such thing as a team being "too young" these days.

That goes for Diante, Buck, etc...and other teams.

I don't remember Brackins playing as much AAU Ball as some of these other kids do. I am probably wrong. For some reason I can only remember him playing Prep ball

It continues to grow, but it was huge 5 years ago too.

Forgot for a second that TJ was his AAU coach. I think we signed him after he was done playing AAU ball and thus the reason I don't remember him playing much

(probably less so for elite recruits) But for a vast majority of kids the change is huge and they still need time to adjust.

I do like your last bit about RPI. Hopefully that gives us enough cushion after playing a brutal Big 12 schedule.

RPI should be our friend come selection Sunday.

Not every team is bringing in guys that need as much work physically as we have been either. There are far more guys coming in now that are physically ready to go from day 1.
