Friday cant come soon enough!
Friday cant come soon enough!
If all six teams are still in the running with only 4 days to go wouldn't the home team have the advantage?
HB is crafty one, I wouldn't have expected any different answer really.
I can hardly wait for this to be all over, just hope he chooses ISU.
Would've been nice had he made this announcement at Hilton.
This is really getting old.
Is he actually signing a LOI on Friday? Because if not this will all continue.
Never realized he wore the #40. Wonder if he does that in honor of his dad? Doubt it based on what I have heard of there relationship.
Its his decision, he can play it however he wants. If he chooses ISU, great ... if not than we all wish him the best of luck. Enough said.
I'll probably get ripped for saying the following, but I can't help it - it's the way I feel about this situation.
If HB is really as humble as he's portrayed to be, why does he choose to call a nationally televised press conference to announce where he's decided to go to school? That seems as far from humble as one can possibly get.
If HB is really as considerate as he's portrayed to be, why is he stringing along his home town university all the way up to the 11th hour? If he announces he's going somewhere else, that seems like a pretty cruel way to treat a coach and a program who's been incredibly supportive to him since he was in the 8th grade. The considerate thing would have been to let Coach Mac know earlier so he doesn't have to continue recruiting someone who is unlikely to play here.
If HB is really as smart and honest as he's protrayed to be, why does he say on Monday that all 6 schools are still in the mix when he's stated that he'll announce his final decision on Friday? After mulling the six options over during the last several months, does he really think he'll receive a sudden inspiration in the next 3 days, or is he being less than truthful with the media?
None of these things make sense to me UNLESS HB is doing all of this to bring the greatest amount of positive publicity that he can when he announces that he's going to play for Iowa State.
This is what gives me hope for Friday.
Some may interpret what Harrison is doing as being cruel, but it's a no win situation for Harrison.
I'm sure if Harrison had his choice he would choose to do all of this with no publicity whatsoever, but obviously that isn't an option. Yes, we're all under a lot of pressure, hoping and even praying that he chooses the Good Guys, put it pales in comparison to the pressure he's been under throughout the process.
I really hope he's "pulling a Hoiberg" and using the recruiting process to make a lot of friends among coaches, taking a lot of trips, and enjoying inside looks at the top programs in the nation. He is getting to see and do things in this process which would be a dream for most.
I disagree. Harrison could easily do this without all the publicity. He could simply pick up the phone and tell 5 of the coaches that he won't be coming and tell 1 coach that he will be coming. That's it - no press conference, no circus, no hype. Given all that I've heard about the type of person he is, this is what I'd expect him to do.
