Barnes today: all six teams still in running

Re: Barnes today: all six teams still in running
That's funny because he is undecided but is making a decision on Friday. How does he know he'll have made a decision by Friday. If he was truly undecided he would declare in the spring.

He'd make a pretty good politician. I don't buy that line...

I find it hilarious that a HS basketball player has successfully ****ed with the heads of entire fanbases.

Well of course no one buys it. But he's certainly not going to show his hand. No sense in talking to him about it until after the announcement because the same line will just be repeated.

If he was truly undecided he would declare in the spring. He is going to choose Friday morning when he wakes up. If he has any cyclone crunch in the cupboard that morning then he'll pick ISU. If not, he'll host a rock-paper-scissors tournament for the rest of the coaches.

Re: Barnes today: all six teams still in running
No way. He has either decided or has it down to a couple of teams. If all six are really in the running he shouldn't be making a last second decision on Friday; he should cancel the announcement.

He know exactly where he is going to play next season, he is just not going to leak anything to the press until Friday. Kid has ice in his veins, I don't think I could keep a secret as well as he has. It will bean exciting Friday and maybe a very exciting Friday afternoon.

I agree - he was probably asked if he had narrowed his list any further, or if he had a final three, etc. and just responded to the question. If I were him, I wouldn't say anything new until Friday either.

I agree with this and will even extend that it should be exciting (albeit a letdown) if he chooses to attend another school. How long will it be before the state of Iowa is home to such a highly sought-after basketball recruit? Harrison is the real deal...not just the hype created by local newspapers.
I want him to choose ISU...but this is exciting no matter what! Let the kid (and he seems like a tremendous kid) enjoy this ride...

No kidding. The kid is an evil genius. ;) I'm guessing that it is probably true that at this point all 6 are still in the running, but I'd bet there are a few that are towards the top of his list right now.
It does shock me though that so little has gotten through. And that there have been relatively few instances where someone has said something that they claim Barnes has said. News coming out of Ames after the visit this weekend has been scarce.....not sure if that is good, bad, or very bad. Even before Barnes announced he would be deciding in the fall, I figured that something concrete would be known by now. I still feel like, based on the buzz, that Duke and North Carolina are the top 2. But I wouldn't be shocked if it was Oklahoma, Kansas, or UCLA. I also wouldn't be shocked if it was us. I almost wish I had no hope, because Friday could really suck.

Re: Barnes today: all six teams still in running
The duffel bag delivery deadline is Thursday night, therefore all six teams are still in the running.
