I have never seen
a forum go as nuts as Duke's Rivals and Cyclonefanatic over a decision. Ever other post someone has new info and a new school Harrison is going to. It's truely unbeleivable. The book would make a great mistery book.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: I have never seen
I actually refused cake today because it was red, WHITE and BLUE. I'm a sad, little person.

Since I don't follow recruiting all that much, I'm curious if this is the normal anticipation for the top ranked player each year or is HB garnering more attention than the #1 would usually get.
Another thing, if he wasn't from Ames I likely would never have heard of him. I wonder how well known he is outside of North Carolina and Iowa.

Re: I have never seen
It's not Duke fans are talking about how good their football team is, I mean what else do they have but basketball and rape trials?

This one seems a little different because literally nobody knows what is going on. Usually there are some really strong rumors one way or another about a school.
Also, Barnes doesn't have "handlers" in the regular sense so there is now WWW influencing where he is going and there isn't an AAU coach hired at a school to draw him.

Did I just see a hawk fan make a rape trials comment about Duke? Between your recent football and basketball players' rape accusations maybe that's not the most prudent thing to say. Not to mention the Duke players were completely cleared of any wrongdoing.

Look at it this way, at least we don't have to hear about Hawkeye football :)

I like to think of it as the first chapter of a true crime book.

2003 - LeBron James
2004 - Dwight Howard
2005 - Gerald Green
2006 - Greg Oden
2007 - Michael Beasley
2008 - BJ Mullens
2009 - John Wall
2010 - Brandon Knight (Harrison is #2)
I was initially putting this list together to prove to you that you have heard of the #1 recruit even if you don't follow recruiting closely. But instead I just proved your point. It is a much bigger story since it is about a local kid (think Shawn Johnson and NBC13's love affair with her) and the fact that ISU is in the running.
Here is the Rivals link if anyone is interested: Rivals.com Prospect Rankings
