Had class the morning Brakins announced his return... so I had to wait an hour or so until I got the news. Course at the time I was pretty pessimistic, so when I finally got a chance to get to an internet connection, I had the attitide of let's just get this over. I'm doubting the HB presser is like Brackins. I sat on my computer waiting for him to come to the mic, then saw the press release on the website announcing he was staying. Just thought it was weird that everyone would know before he announced.
I just remember when all that was happening all I heard was "no chance he's coming back" "sorry guys move on". People that just knew "for sure" he was leaving. This is a similar situation. Soon enough we will be able to either move on or let the fellow haters hear it.
This reminds me of my father who managed to pass out from the injuries he sustained in the excitement of ISU beating KU in 96 to win the big 8 tournament. Evidently when he came through my stepmother was standing over him worried as hell. Of course all he wanted to know was if ISU had just beatin KU or was it a dream. When she affirmed the clone victory, he laid there on the ground in pain but a smile nonetheless.Quote:
