    Barnes Decision

    HOW can it be possible for them to open it up to the public KNOWING the place will be packed with Cyclone fans, and then he choose another school? I would think if ISU wasn't the choice, he wouldn't have it open to the public.

    Or I'm I just looking for something to hang on to in hopes he chooses ISU?

    that's what I"ve been thinking all along. He has to know that if the public is there and he picks KU or UNC, there are going to be moans and boos. Why would he want that?

    Lest you forget, he is still an AMES kid, not everyone in AMES, is a Cyclone fan. HB is the highest rated BB player in the country, it is a big deal. If he comes to ISU bonus for us, but is the "Hometown Kid Makes Good" is a great story no matter where he plays BBall.


    BUT for the LOVE OF GOD don't let it be Kansas.

    A public press conference for the hometown kid to stay in Ames and go to Iowa State just seems too obvious, but then the number 1 recruit going to Iowa State seems the least obvious.

    So I think he will go to the mediumly obvious school...

    Why does everyone assume it will be packed? I know the kid is legit...but how many people in the community will go to Ames High at 3:00 on a Friday afternoon? There might be a lot of high school students in attendance...but I can't see very many people taking time out of their Friday afternoon for this event!

    Both of my classes today had people (men and women) planning on heading to Ames High for the afternoon...

    Is Ames High opening the doors? Really? Or are people just supposing?

    I haven't read everything. Did they announce that the doors would be open?

    I'm a bit surprised that a school would open the doors to the public for an event like this...
