Darnit, we suck. You're right. Now I am right back to being depressed about Harrison Barnes. :jimlad:
My biggest concern was the second half margin. Were we resting a lot of poeple and trying differnt things out?
Winning margin means absolutely nothing. Our starting 5 barely played the second half. I'm not ever going to get too excited over beating Idaho State but come on, at this point we need something to be excited about...
Well **** I guess we better stop going to Hilton now - when does softball start?
Well, hopefully soon every season will be over, and there won't be anything left to complain about :jimlad:
Just enjoy the win. We had a nice win with tons of garbage time, and plenty of time to experiment with different lineups. Good night.
We were almost up thirty at half and were imposing our will on them. It was good to see all the subbing that took place in the second half. Four guys scoring in the teens and almost everyone with a big play. It was fun to watch.
Somebody help me, I'm confused....
I can't be happy about beating Nebraska in Lincoln cause it was a fluke?
I can't look forward to a bowl until we officially win 6 games?
IF we make it to a bowl I can't be happy about what bowl it is?
I can't be happy about an season opening win for MBB?
BUT.....I HAVE to be happy for Harrison Barnes?
What kind of sick twisted Cyclone "fan" board is this? :jimlad::eek:
I sure hope this was meant to be sarcastic? We could have rolled them by 40 if we wanted to.
No offense to these guys, but Pomlee and Dorr both played a lot down the stretch, and Brackins, Dendy, Gilstrap, etc were nowhere to be found in the last 10 minutes or so.
Plus... I thought Idaho State was a pretty decent team. We would have struggled to beat this team in years past. They were very experienced and pretty athletic too.
After watching all the teams since 2000, this is the most excited I've been about a team. The talent on the team has increased. No doubt about it.

I'd say that last night we beat a better team than we have been playing recently, by more points than any year since our NCAA Team.
So, in short, I'm going to get excited, and y'all can go to hell if you don't like it.
I don't get this thread. Why can't we be excited? That was a good "cupcake" team (a.k.a. I ain't going to say they are good, but for the cupcakes, they were one of the better ones) and we beat them by 20.
We also had 4 people in double digits scoring, and only played our backups for the majority of the 2nd half. And we did this with a slow/ugly start, which is to be expected with so many new faces.
I would've been worried if we won by 20 with Brackins pouring in 30, but he didn't. If we needed to beat them by 40, we could've but it is more important to get the new guys minutes than drowning Idaho State in points.
I am still not 100% that we will be quite as good as everyone predicts, but I didn't see a reason why we can't be from last night's performance!
Gotta remember the OP is a negative nancy about EVERYTHING.
