Is anyone else happy to see....
Bryan Petersen on the bench helping the team out? I don't know about how much graduate assistants do with the coaching aspect of the team but do you think he suits up in practice when needed? I know he was fairly vocal last year as a teammate, but, do the guys on the team listen to what he has to say now that he is seen as a coach?

Re: Is anyone else happy to see....
I think it's good to have someone like him that can provide a feel for how the team is feeling or the morale of the guys. It's a lot easier for someone more connected with players to see those things. He is probably filling in some sort of player/coach liaison role.

I think its awesome. I think BP always played to the best of his ability and his bball IQ was great. Hopefully he can pass some of that on to the current roster.

Re: Is anyone else happy to see....
Ya I think his bball IQ and knowledge of this team will only help us

And I thought I'd never have to hear another Petey love fest on CF...guess I was wrong.

Re: Is anyone else happy to see....
I'm glad he's there. He should make a valuable contribution.

BP was the man just wasn't a great athlete, his B-Ball Smarts kept him in position to be effective. He will make a very solid coach someday.

Re: Is anyone else happy to see....
Guy played his heart out as a player and kept us in some games. Having him on the bench outside of college is an asset.

Re: Is anyone else happy to see....
I watched him at practice one day and he was helping Dendy quite a bit one on one. They were doing some footwork drills before everything got started.
Great asset. He still knows the Big 12 players and the teams.

Talked to him when I was down watching some small group workouts in September. He is very knowledgeable about the game. Talked some hoops, I played against a couple kids he played with at Kirkwood.
He actually is unsure if he wants to coach after he gets his graduate degree. Great guy, very personable. Fits in very well with Mac, Rutter....

maybe a 7th or 8th man, but he is just not the quality of a starting 2 guard in the Big 12.
Can't take away his heart and effort though. But I would rather have someone more talented with the same heart and desire.
