If Lucca shot like that every game, this team may never lose.
MG needs to slow it down. He is just trying too hard or something.
This has me worried about MG. It is well documented he has one chance to show the big boys in the league he can play, and I think he might be pressing a bit. I imagine he will slow things down and let the game come to him as he gets more comfortable playing D1 ball.
This is a really good ISU team. I think they could get to third place in the Big 12...or maybe second. I am not as big on Texas as some are
Thanks Jon for the kind words! I agree I think that this is one of the deepest teams I've watched at ISU in a long time. Seems like every game it's someone new stepping up. This game Christopherson and Lucca had huge games to go with Brackins 20. Gilstrap stuggled and we still looked very tough. If these guys can keep up the defensive intensity for 40 minutes they could be very good. We could have won this by much more but slacked on defense for the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Gilstrap will be ok. I was at the game last night and even though he struggled to get points....you have to look at the rebounding/keeping the O-rebound alive last night. He is a good hustle player....and the points will come.
Good blow-out Cyclones! Get Miss. Valley St. on Sunday!
