Lucca
Did anyone else think Lucca looked very impressive, (making 10 3's aside). They mentioned he was 10lbs lighter, he looked it. He also looked a lot more comfortable. He looked like he ws playing playground ball, some of his passes and once with a smooth almost reactionary behind the back with the defender right on him. Anxcious to see how the rest of the season goes

Re: Lucca
Yes. I keep getting more impressed with his play.
Here's my curiosity question: What is the record for an ISU player for career 3-pointers against one opponent? Lucca has his 18 vs. Drake. I'm just wondering what the record is.

Re: Lucca
He seems much more coordinated this year and he's playing much better defense!

Re: Lucca
I thought our guards looked very comfortable with the ball - they looked confident in what they were doing. I guess that's what happens when you have a three-year starter at point guard and return four of five starters...

I love this feeling.

Re: Lucca
I think confident is the word you're looking for. Garrett found it too. Hoping Gilstrap finds it soon.

I don't think confidence is Gilstraps problem that last couple games. I think he's trying too hard to live up to the hype he knows is around him. I think once he realizes he just needs to play his game and not try to make a bunch of spectacular plays then he'll be fine.

I feel for him struggling right now. I wonder what the game will be like when he busts out of his cage?

Re: Lucca
Aside from his feeble attempt at defending Josh Young on Drake's first possession, Lucca looked much improved.

I didn't want to knock the guy but you might as well had me out there guarding Young...but I think most defenders would have trouble guarding him.

Re: Lucca
One guy behind us yelled, "You can't stop Josh Young" during the early scoring duel that he and Lucca had going on. Honestly, I expected him to be right. That kid is really good. I wish he had one more shot like the one he had two years ago.

I think that the day Marquis has the breakout, it'll be a monster effort that leaves jaws dropping all over, and Craig right there cheering him on.
