Once in the last 3 years, which was last year, when they made the Sweet 16. I promise you they make the tourney this year.

one of Cal's best player's is injured - tough to overcome against a team like SYR. he may be out for the season, which means Cal is not going to be as good as predicted.

but facing Cal in CA is going to be completely different than watching Cal in NYC.

The teams were playing a tournament in MSG in NYC. I know where Syracuse is.....

Syracuse WILL make the tourney this year...their zone will be much tougher this year than last year, they are more physical this year, and they can still put up points...

I'd love to knock them off in a 3-6seed matchup in the second round...

I think Syracuse will make the tourney this year. I watched the whole game, and their defense is absolutely impressive. Hate to say it, but Wes is one of the stars on the team. He had like 6 blocks tonite to go along with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Makes one wonder how good ISU could have been this year had he stayed, but that is water under the bridge.

I was not terribly impressed with Cal athletically. They seemed slow to me, especially on defense. I think if ISU guards drive to the basket, Cal's bigs will be in foul trouble early like they were tonite.

Syracuse was impressive.

If there was one thing learned tonight... one way to beat Cal is to be VERY physical with the ball and while playing D.

I hope our guys can really be physical taking the ball to the hoop.
