I recently busted out my PS3 version version of College Hoops 2K8 and Greg took us to back to back championships in 2030 and 2031!

Then he retired. I took over as coach though, and don't worry, although I haven't played organized basketball since 8th grade, I've won us another 3 NCs between 2032 and 2039.

We're in good hands, folks!

OP's note: this is not meant to poke fun at Coach, I love him as our coach and support him, just thought I'd let you know our simulated progress for the next 33 years.

FYI: Coach Rhoads is going to win the National Title in 2010 and 2011 per my XBOX 360. No good football on TV = many hours of NCAA Football 2010.

were u playing the games or did u sim them?

For some reason College Hoops loves us. Every time I play'd that game, about 20-30 years in we would start winning championships.

yup if he is just realy good at the game then he could of won a NC with bad players (wich u cant do if u sim the game).

That's funny, because when I ran it back in 05, I had us winning the title every year from 2016 to 2038 at which point we lost to Michigan State.

Simming. My whole goal was to get to ISU, so at the lower schools I'd sim the season, play the conference tournament and play the tourney, if invited.

Won a NC at Eastern Illinois, went to Hawai'I and got fired, won a NC at Coppin State, went to USC and got fired, went to UC Irvine, lost in the final four then Greg retired at ISU and I took over. Strictly simming at ISU. If I get to the final for, I do the "Coach Game" option, but never control the players.

Lame I know, but I enjoy it.

hahaha i would say lame but i have done the same thing. on like 2k8 tho. i havent made the time the last few years...

This is 2k8. It was the last in the series. EA bought the rights, so now March Madness is the only college basketball game, and I can't stand that game.

I always hated the college BB games vs the NBA games. NCAA football was always better than Madden though IMO

Do you realize what this means? If Harrison Barnes has a kid when he is 20 years old. He will be in college in 2030-2031. Oh my goodness. Get ready for a Barnes recruiting battle that we win in 2029. Everyone quit saying bad things about Barnes. It could sway the future.
