Intro Complaints...Action plan:

Not to beat another dead horse "Intro" thread. But does anyone know a contact in which comments, suggestions can be made? Is there a specific person, department, that handles this gameday type operations?

Seriously...at the game yesterday...I had folks around me saying this was waaay to long and not exciting one bit. Many liked lasts year's better.

I personally like this year's intro. Just my opinion.

I understand where you are coming from, it is a tad bit long. I personally liked it, saw it yesterday for the first time.

I like the highlights and the siren to start it off....but the song...dang! Too long and no beat. Did anyone clap or cheer wildly during this...isn't that the point? If not...keep the highlights for another time.

So this is a Pollard thing? Seems a bit trival for the AD to worry about intro's...thought maybe someone else could handle this.

I just thought Pollard would make something happen. Email the top guy and he'll delegate it to who handles it (which means I have no idea who would handle it!).

The players were watching it, they seemed to really like it.

Yeah I'm going to go ahead and say I like it too. It is a little long but I think the song is good.

Last year's intro was much better. Everyone just stands around to watch it. Watch the players the next time it is on. Embarrassing.

Not great, which is disappointing because we've had so many good ones recently in both MBB and Football.

You need Mary Pink, the Associate AD of Marketing. Her email is mpink@iastate.edu. Her department puts together most videoboard material. She's a nice woman, and very receptive to feedback, but please go into this assuming that no changes will happen this year. Those things take a LONG time to make, and I don't think she or her staff will be willing to go back and make a new one, or even mess around with the one we have. Still, if you and others feel strongly about it, it's worth a shot!

Saw the same thing...almost uncomfortable

Look...Hilton has too much tradition and history of crazy crowds for this to be the "intro". If we can't shut the lights off...at least get something to get everyone cheering or clapping. Can you imagine this when KU comes to town? Awwwkward

You should watch KU's intro. It really gives you the chill. I think ISU should come up something to scare and intimidate opponent. KU intro really intimates other players.

I always thought they continually updated the intro videos with new highlights...

And I honestly do not believe it would take more than a week to put together an entirely new intro video. Hell, get some student to do it for extra credit! Or just play last years with new highlights :)
