If we're winning games and getting ranked we'll be on tv a lot more. So if winning games and being ranked is the key, how do you explain Iowa....their last good teams were when Lute was the coach 30 years ago.
The terrible Big XII TV package is the only answer--we're a BCS conference with a Div I-AA TV package. The commissioner should be run on this basis alone. -

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

also note that we have 3 games on ESPN2 or ESPNU, they are just later in the non-conf schedule.
But don't let me get in the way of a good *****-fest. Y'all have to have something to complain about or apparently you'd stop breathing.

Re: ISU Vs. IOWA on TV
I don't get all the whining about tv packages.
Iowa is in a preaseason tournament covered by ESPN - hence, 4/5 games for Iowa is on tv.
When we stop going 4-12 in the Big12 two years in a row, we'll get more games picked up by ESPN, as they will be viewed as "good" games. ISU vs. Eastern Sisters of Tennessee Tech doesn't qualify.

I enjoy watching IA get pounded on TV...

Ummm, Dr. Tom had a lot of good teams, and some that were very, very good. These guys are very exciting to watch. Only 8 hours until we do this thing again!

Right. Tonight, should ESPN show the Maui Invitational, and ESPN2 that other tournament, or should they focus on ISU vs. Tennessee State?
I think these games should all be on local TV here in Iowa, like they were when I was growing up. That makes sense, but I don't know the ins and outs to that no longer happening.
Those broadcasts were fun. Gary Thompson taught me a whole lot about basketball, and helped me to grow into the kool-aid drinking Cyclone fan that I am today.

Another reason I like mediacom... after the beginning of December, I think all but 1 or 2 games are on ESPN360, just incase I can't get the game on regular TV.

Re: ISU Vs. IOWA on TV
All Iowa football and basketball games must be televised someplace. State law. Everybody knows it.

Re: ISU Vs. IOWA on TV
I actually feel bad for Iowa...
That poor team has had the entire nation see them lose to two "nobody's" and get waxed by Texas. I would actually hate to be on TV all the time if my team sucked that bad.
It can't help all that much w/ recruiting either. They might have lost some recruits to Texas-San Antonio....
