My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Hinrich pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

I will say one thing that is B.S. about Roy's story ... "I was in Las Vegas recruiting ..." He's a big time gambler. Every time he came here to see HB he would go to Prarie Meadows either before or after seeing him; and Tim Floyd practically lives in Vegas now. No way Roy was there recruiting. It wouldn't surprise me if he bets on North Carolina basketball games. The guy is a total phony!

I still think going to the Bulls was dumbest thing ever. He knew he was coming in to the all time worst situation in NBA history for a rookie coach. Couldn't have thought it would end well.

I will go on the record as saying I don't think we would have won any Big 12 Titles if we got Hinrich instead of Tinsley. Hinrich really came into his own his junior and senior seasons. We were missing so many more parts in those two years. Tinsley (and Horton, to a lesser extent) was the one constant of both titles. We would not have won without him, and I seriously doubt we would have competed for titles in Hinrich's final two years either. I think we got the good end of that deal...

I don't see the big deal - Floyd knew that Hinrich was likely to decommit and told that to Roy. It's not like Roy wouldn't have found out about him anyway. And it's not like Floyd was in Hinrich's ear telling him to go to KU.

Not only would we have maybe kept Hinrich but we would have gotten Collison to maybe. Sorry but can you imagine Hinrich, Collison, and Fizer?

idk we wouldnt of been as good the first 2 years but we would of been alot better the last 2 years he would of been here... and we might not of been a title team his 1st year but we would of been in the top half of the big12 and we also would avoid the 1year wonder wich would of given us a better chance to get better players down the line...but like i said it didnt happen so we dont really know how it would of gone....we might of had great teams for many years...might of just had ok teams for many years..

If anything, we would have been consistently average to slightly above average all four years. We had so many more missing parts than just a solid guard those two years. We were really abysmal in 01-02, and it had as much to do with having inexperienced post play as to not having a legit Big 12 PG. His senior year could have been decent, with the addition of Vroman, and a more experienced Homan.

In the end, I think that his last two seasons, 01-02 and 02-03 would have been better, but the championship seasons would have been slightly worse. We would have probably ended up with close to the same number of wins. But, I will take two Big 12 titles, followed by a terrible and then average season over 4 average to above average seasons. But, that's just my two cents...

I guess I had always assumed that Kansas had been recruiting Hinrich right along with ISU, and that they were in his top three or four at the time he orally committed to ISU and Floyd.

I'm sure Roy was already on Heinrichs, I doubt that Roy needed Floyd to point him in that Direction. I would bet that Roy was already on Heinricks before this conversation.

This is just Good Ole Roy, trying to punch ISU in the face, again.

    Who cares.
