I never said it was going to be a close game or they would win. I just posted those two scores for the heck of it, because I know a lot of people here like to compare scores like that.
That being said, we win by 32.

Saw a possible recruit at the game tonight, the kid who shot the 5 for 5 at half hit 4 of 5.

St Louis is ranked #4 in the nation in defense according to Pomeroy's stat analysis. I'm really excited to see how well we can execute offense against them, and then turn around and see how well we can defend against a great offensive team in Notre Dame.

I thought this was Colvin's second game in a row where he didn't play very sharp. I wonder if the staff is trying to get him to do more and he is thinking too much.

Good game. This team has to learn to make free throws though! If they don't, that may lose them a couple of games in conference. The rebounding has improved, but that may just be the level of competition.

It will be interesting this weekend. St. Louis will probably be the best competition they have faced to date. ND or NW would be a good match-up too. Hopefully, they can come back with 2 wins. Having Dendy back will be huge.

It will be interesting to see how they react to a team that is closer to their talent level. I'm hoping they rise even more to the challenge, but even great teams can stumble along the way.

It's not the same thing. I remember when I played basketball and was deadly from 3 but couldn't shoot free throws for the longest time to save my life.

Totally different than shooting 3's IMO

We have played some HORRIBLE teams. I know Nebraska isn't great, but SLU has already faced a Big 12 school.

Hopefully our guys step up the right way to a HUGE step up in talent of the team the face over the next few weeks.

Oooh I hadn't thought of that!

We have some great storylines - Brackins came back, everytime Wes Johnson is mentioned he's called "Iowa State transfer", we have a German national team sharp-shooter, AND we're consistently blowing out lesser competition. I think if we get solid wins this weekend (beat StL by 20 and ND by 15) we'll be ranked around #23 and have a good shot at networks picking up our games.

I might have to ask Santa for a new plasma!

You gotta nip problems like that in the butt so they don't become mental and stick around all season.

Excellent!! Missed FT will be a killer in the Big 12.

Now, if you want a real high FT %, and you are struggling with a "normal" shot, and you don't mind looking like a dork...bank 'em in.

Also, the bank will do wonders for you FG% as well. Unfortunately, I didn't discover that until a couple of years ago...
