i am thinking the system is a little flawed if a team can keep losing but go up and a team the keeps winning goes down. sounds like the BCS!

    Re: RPI

RPI means......Real Poor Indicator. It's not like St. Louis and ND have piled up the victories mixing it up with the Lakers and Nuggets. I think the toughest opponent on either schedule I have seen may be Nebraska. So I am thinking we beat STL. by a dozen, and ND by half that.

The RPI is useless 5 games into a season. Wait a month and a half.

    Re: RPI

Useless indication scale until the last month or two of the season. Your opponents' opponents are factored into this so smaller schools who schedule the big time schools and have above .500 record will be way up in rankings.

You could be Duquesne and schedule Duke, lose to them by 25 and go 3-2 against teams like Jacksonville State and still be in the top 75 or 50.
