Serious question
Is there any Iowa players that would even see the floor for ISU this year?

Gatens would come off the bench. I wonder if the life long Iowa fan he is likes his choice to play for this fav team of all time.

Re: Serious question
Gatens, Payne, Tucker, and probably Cole

Re: Serious question
Not Tucker the way he's been playing this year. Neither Cole.
Payne, May, Gatens. Gatens would get some serious playing time, and Payne would be splitting with Colvin. I also wouldn't rule out Cougill getting some minutes.
Right now, the difference between ISU and Iowa is experience, and Brackins. Iowa's opponents are also 14-2 combined record, while ISU's are 1-18. Let's wait and see how the Clones do against D-I competition before getting too far ahead of things here.
That being said, ISU's experience right now blows Iowa's out of the water, and that's pretty evident by the way both teams are playing. ISU would be 4-1 with Iowa's schedule. POSSIBLY 3-2 depending on if WSU played the way they did against Pitt.

Only Gatens would see time... Thanks for playing though...

And I already stated how ISU would be 4-1, unless WSU played like they did against Pitt.
And as I said, Gatens, May, and Payne would see time for ISU. If you disagree, that's fine, but those three are very interchangeable with Staiger, Christopherson, and Colvin.
ISU is obviously the better team... by far, but to say Iowa has only 1 player who would sniff the court is incorrect.

To think that our current bench players are well ahead of the starting five for another D1 squad is a little premature. Iowa is in fairly rough shape, but they had some stretches against Texas that looked competitive.
We have looked good this season, but don't let your ego forget who we are. We still have a lot to prove this season.

Re: Serious question
I would say Gatens. Other than that I don't see any others. I think it is too early to judge what either team really has as far as qaulity depth. I certainly don't think anyone starts. Wait until mid-season to make this assessment.

Re: Serious question
That question can be answered much more accurately after the 2 teams have played each other.

Re: Serious question
Sorry, but I think ISU would likely be 5-0, KC is home away from home and we always play Texas close. WSU would be a good game, but again, a Cyclone victory.
