Now I know how a Iowa fan feels after losing to NW. We should have beat them by double digits and they just hang around and pull it out at the end. We needed to get the ball to Brackins more down low the last 3 minutes of the game.
Good effort, but yet another kick to the stones. Felt like we left too many points on the floor. Missed free throws, inconsistent defense, and missed shots doomed us in the end. As a Cyclone fan, we should expect the worst, but this one just hurts.
-Really bad loss. NW isn't very good.
-We have plenty of non-conference games to get better and get some quality wins.
-It's still November.
-DG is a lot better this year. He played solid tonight.,
-We need more from Brackins than we got tonight. He had one of his worst halves of his career IMO.
Bad loss but not the end of the world. I still have high hopes for this team.
I didn't agree with going for the Vander Beken (sp?) 3 with 8 seconds to go, really felt like we get an easy two there and keep the pressure on but it's probably 50/50 at best. Jaime was disappointing all the way around, we'll come back though.
