I wonder how Greg will pay Bill (Carmondy) for the lesson tonight. Gilstrap is the 2nd best player on the team so he is gone the second half…he cannot help if he is on the pine……
You have to understand, my BA is UNI and my MA ISU so I have a vested interest… Many of the UNI fans were getting sick and tired of the favoritism at UNI (especially slow bad guards) and really were not upset when Greggy left. He got schooled by Bo Ryan and John Thompson III in the tournament and tonight got beat by a guy with half the talent…. Really, what guy on NW starts for us???…… Greg McD…. tends to favor the practice guy vs. the talent guy and that is an issue. I like SC but he was getting his a** kicked all night.. Ridiculus ---- supposed lottery pick and you have the guy that does not even start set up for the game tying shot…. Sorry, but that was a horrible draw up, especially considering that time out may have come in handy at the end when Craig had to throw it up from 80 feet….. I hope I am wrong but my confidence is waning in Greggy and not just from this game but way back to his UNI days…

Greg didn't have a good night. It happens. A lot of his players didn't, either.

About a million reasons a year this is not acceptable...... I never blame players.... they only operate in the environment given.... never, ever get on a player,,,, if you do you are a fool.... these kids in the proper frame are not ever responsible for this kind of loss...... Yes, beat by a team with EQUAL or better talent I can accept.,.,. This one is just not acceptable... better look out Wed... lot say that UNI got the better end of the deal.

Um ok. Maybe Gilstrap was haiving an off night. Maybe one after one walk through he didnt quite understand what was going on in is first game vs this O. This thread is trash.

I love this site,, negativity = trash ----- Really --- I hate to be accused of being negative, but we just lost a game to a team that will finish 9th in an 11th team league and RPI is not important??... I thought last night vs Majeras was a big step for Greggy (maybe the biggest of his tenure) and we took 3 steps back tonight.... I think our guys looked gassed and confused, sorry call it like I see it,, Greggy plays the tough guy routine, but is he really a teddy bear?..... We slowed down grabbed our shorts and took it...
Do you really think Larry or Tim would have lost this game??????

NW will finish better than 9th. They are not a bad team and will surprise a few others this season.

Us having an off shooting night vs a decent NW team who shot the 3 ball well tonight = a loss

Its time to move on, we've got UNI to play on wednesday.

Pump the breaks my guy...if this is the worst loss we have this year we will be alright....just be glad were not an Oklahoma fan right now who's team clearly has the talent better than most teams but have lost to VCU, San Diego, and Houston so far...

Discussing the negative aspects of our team, or our shortcomings on a particular night are fully acceptable. Taking the gas can to them after one off night is a little over the top, and you should expect some disagreement with your approach.

maybe he needs to become more of a compelete player and not give up back cut lay-ups....?

I would think as a Coach you want the best players on the floor that give you a chance to win on both ends of the floor....?

Draw up at the end .07 need a 3, would not last years leader (pct) be a option...? I confident he was not the 1st, but had to be a option Lucca 6-13, JVB 4-8, but you wanted double teamed CB 6-16 to take it....? (good Coaching Bob..?) by the way lottery just missed a FT...?

No. Always look for a shootout.

No it Notre Dame style--give up the score so you can get the ball back and try and tie the game
