*Official Iowa State vs Cal Post-Game Thread*

Offensively I thought we stood around way too much, we barely moved so we threw up horrible shots instead. It was nice to see Brackins be more aggressive tonight at least.

Colvin continues to be a turnover machine, good to see Buckley in the game.

Getting outrebounded by that much and letting them dominate us in the paint was embarrassing to watch.

Mac has to be on thin ice...I honestly am holding out hope until the conference season but this is by far our most talented team and we were nearly noncompetitive tonight, definitely worried about how the rest of the season may go. Again, I'm trying to hold out faith for Mac.

+1. Losing at home to mid majors and then going on the road against a good, not great Cal team and we can't even compete - not good.

love colvins potential, shows alot of promise, but right now id rather see buckley in the game before colvin, one thing i hate about mcdermott is how he substitutes, he never lets anyone get chemistry going, for instance against UNI we built a seven point lead and our guys were getting a chemistry going together and he decides to put in dendy, boozer, colvin...i love all three of those kids, but when your trying to build a lead those arent the players you want in without brackins, gilstrap, etc. Mcdermott is a nut case, and a **** coach end of story

Colvin was a turnover machine tonight? He had one turnover.

You better like wrestling, volleyball, wball, and football. It may be a long stretch.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Coach Mac disappointed me tonight. I thought he would be able to make adjustments to stop their offense but it just didn't happen. We got abused on defense. And our offense consisted of passing it to Gilstrap or Brackins and watching them try to score. I thought Mac could come up with something way better than this but I just didn't see it tonight. Way too much standing around for a coach that is supposed to have a ton of plays and offensive schemes.

Maybe the assistants should run the second half.

It feels like Groundhog day. 4 years of the same. Weak rebounding, poor hustle, inept offense.

I'd like to see us give Buckley some minutes, can't hurt.

Colvin and Buckley both need to take DG minutes. DG is not a leader at all. Has the strength of an eighth grade and can shoot for crap.

Anyone know what our athletic training is like? Do these guys just bench press all day long thinking it will help their shot and rebounding or something?

i still like colvin. he could guard cal's pg better than garrett, and colvin is always looking up when he dribbles. buck and colvin are much better pure pg's than garrett

    i want to see
    colvin
    buck
    scott
    brack
    hamilton

and substitute gilstrap for scott if size is needed

When DG shoots the ball I feel like Yelk is kicking a field goal.
