i think all the lineups really depend on matchups of the game
overall though the best backcourt combo is probably colvin and christopherson
they are the best overall defensively and both can handle the rock. i actually think christopherson would be a great pg (great shot, good handles, solid d, plays offense aggressively).
christopherson, marques, dendy (when he is healthy), brackins, jvb (when he is healthy) would be a large interesting lineup
Christopherson matches up poorly in the last three games against bigger people. They just take him inside and he is history on defense. And he does not rebound much. Other than that, fine.
Dendy looks like he feels better now. Judge him by his last game.
Gilstrap is having trouble finishing inside against bigger people.
Hamm needs to get an attitude.
If you do not pass to Lucca for shooting three points, he is not as valuable.
DG can adjust to controlling the game more, but he appears to let other things happen.
Iowa game will be interesting.
When is JVB back?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
DG needs to be agressive if he is going to be on the floor. He had lots of opportunities to attack the basket, but he pulls it back out and does nothing with it. Defenses are playing him like they played Jacey Holloway. Nothing wrong with PG that shoots 10-12 times a game. If he is going to be on the court then he needs to be aggressive.
DG's minutes need to decrease a little. His inability to be a threat from the outside kills us. Teams dare him to shoot and he just isn't a shooter. Tough spot for DG...
Lucca's minutes need to decrease. He's one dimensional, we all knew that already. And he's struggling with that dimension right now. Worst part is, when he tries to do other dimensions (i.e. dribble/drive), he's turning it over consistently.
Buckley's minutes need to increase. I'm guessing he is the 3rd PG because of his defense? But he needs to be in there because he can handle the ball, has decent vision, and is a threat from the outside. Best shooter of the 3 PG's. Teams are DARING our PG's to shoot. Throw Buck in there, and he will.
SC needs to play more consistent; he seems tentative at times and careless at others. Then he'll go and make a really heady play. If he plays better for longer stretches of time, we play better for longer stretches of time.
Colvin/Buck need more minutes
SC needs to be the primary off guard
Gilstrap needs to play more minutes and play more consistently
Craig needs to play tougher
LaRon clearly has been affected by the injury exactly like I feared he would. F'in figures, just our dam luck. But as he gets healthy...his minutes need to increase, a lot.
Regardless of lineup, we need to completely change the way we approach rebounding.
If we don't, we'll continue to lose games. We'll be a 15 win team if we continue to rebound like this. Figure out the rebounding, could be a different story. I still think this team has the talent to win 20+
