This probably isn't any surprise, but anyone notice how the "Rag" isn't putting in the Mens Big-12 or Big-10 Basketball standings? You wouldn't suppose that EIU's dismal start to the season has anything to do with it would you?

And don't give me this crap about, "it ain't conference time yet." You know as well as I do if the rolls were reversed, and Iowa started out 6-0 and ISU was a bottom feeder ...you know for a FACT that would be printed in there. (daily, and front page probably) Instead, they'd rather get some nerdy writer (Dave Curtis) from the Sporting News (that has absolutely nothing to do with ANY of us) voicing his opinion about how the Bowl Games are ranked. WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY... does that have to do with anything??? Is that just the Rag's way of sticking it to ISU since they don't have anything positive to say about Iowa's MBB season???

It's true, I remember clearly in the past they always posted the standings well before conference play. (atleast weekly)

Wow... Really... Have you noticed how much they have cut out of the paper lately? Plus, they do show that stuff in the Sunday paper. I know it is once a week, but that is usually when they show it.

It's probably more because they are cutting stuff and not an Iowa Hawkeye thing. Now I have heard and seen alot of theories about the Rag and ISU or Iowa, but this is probably the most ridiculous.

Dont forget Iowa is getting a 10 page layout for their bowl, and we might get 1 whole page, probably not even the front of sports on the day of our bowl.

What would be the point of printing conference standings now? No conference teams have played each other yet. You may not want to hear that, but it is relevant.

The register still has a sports section. Last time I got the paper it was about 1 page.

I don't think some of you are hearing me. They ALWAYS update the non-conf. season. (they always had in the past) And no, it has not been posted once yet this year. (I had just checked on it.)

But it's not in the paper. I only read the paper. Why would I go to the website or even check the web. That is so new age, I'm stuck in the paper age. Damn you young people. I would of gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you pesky kids.
