Brackins or Fizer?
Seriously, at this point in their respective Cyclone careers, which one would you take? Most importantly...WHY?
I have been thinking about this since the day after last year's Colorado game, at CU (possibly the worst game in ISU MBB history), when I was trying to talk myself off a cliff. When was that...last January?

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
Fizer was a beast. He also had an NBA caliber guard feeding him the ball and causing havoc off the dribble. Supported by some talented role players.
Totally different situations, but Fizer was a much more physical presence.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
I would take Fizer but Brackins is nipping at his heels and the reason why is because Fizer had Tinsley.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
Fizer was a man amongst boys. He had the attitude and strength to score on or over anybody. ISU had not had another player with his attitude.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
If you're an opposing player what would your answer be? People were intimidated by Fizer....I would take him in a heartbeat.

Brackins
All around player - shoots the 3, is showing he gan make assists this year and has the ability to play inside.
Fizer had the advantage of having better players around him. The 2 areas Fizer was better was strength on the inside and defense.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
Okay, I probably better post what I think (they talk about this in Soc 345 or something).
Shortly, I believe Brackins is the "answer". Why, or what is the application? I'm going to keep this somewhat limited.
While Fizer was undeniably a beast, to the point nobody could guard him one-on-one down low, and ran the court like a gazelle, he was somewhat limited. Outside of 12 feet, it was dicey, and he had a hard time finding the kick out if/when he was double (sometimes triple) teamed.
I believe Brackins possesses a more all around game.
I'll leave it here for now (I have more, in case you're wondering), but would really like to 'hear' more of other's thoughts,

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
People forget that Fizer could also shoot the 3, he was just physical enough that he didn't have to much. Even if we say their offense is even, Fizer could rebound. Do we have anyone on this current team capable of imposing their will on the glass? I don't think so. I love Craig to death but I'd take Fizer in a heartbeat.

Fizer,
because he was awsome and SINGLE HANDILY WON THE FRICKIN BIG 12.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
I think I would go with Fizer because he was an absolutely dominant post presence. He could take it through double-teams, which is something we haven't really seen from Craig. Despite that, Brackins has a much better finesse game, and his mid-to-long range game has improved greatly during his career.
Maybe if we had a Vroman or a Homan down low I would take Brackins, but with the guard and small forward we have I would certainly take Fizer.

Re: Brackins or Fizer?
Look at Fizer's arms. He was a (scoring) beast. Set aside his teammates for a moment... Tinsley didn't dunk over Mims ***.
All truisms are false. All of them.
