Re: 2010 BASKETBALL COMMITMENT - Jordan Railey

This surprises me. I really thought Oregon State might land him, but am glad he is going to ISU. Beaverton is right next door to where I live. I will try and follow him the rest of the season and provide some links for everybody. Seems solid though.

Here's an interview with him from last year, and some video.

Here is a link to a lot of articles about him. Beaverton is a suburb of Portland.

Welcome to the Cyclone family Jordan! I like the frame. The Iowa corn fed beef will help him put some weight on!

I like the fact that he seems to finish with dunks. I like that in a big guy. Welcome aboard!

Am I the only one who feels this just came awfully quick and out of nowhere?

How's come I hadn't seen him discussed on here before this morning?

It did. I kind of like the secret thing. It was a nice surprise.

6'10" 215? Redshirt and a couple years of weight training...this kid is a project.

one of the profiles says he's a 235 lbs now.... which is getting there. Based on our probable lack of big man depth next year, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't redshirt.

    Craig Brackins - Yahoo! Sports

Brackins was 6-10, 220 lbs at his age. Ham was about the same weight at that time or less too. I don't get why you would automatically assume he is a project because of his weight.

He ain't that undersized for a 17-year old big man. Most big guys are like him, so I wouldn't automatically assume a redshirt.

I think that's a real good point. It's not like everyone is (or should be) a giant coming out of high school.
