My only problem with the game was FT shooting, ugh, we need to get better with those. This year is what we asked for, Gilstrap/Dendy/Ham taking pressure of CB to hafta score everytime.
I think FT shooting will keep us out of the tournament this year. Games like yesterday's aren't near as close if we make them, and games like UNI are a win if we do.

I agree. Remember when Memphis lost to KU in the national championship game. They were awful from the line that game and that whole year. Throughout the year, everyone was talking how poor free throw shooting was going to come back to bite them in the *** and it did in the national championship game. It killed us vs. UNI and will kill us again unless we find a way to shape it up. I love MG and am so thankful he is here but there is no reason he should be that bad at the line.

It's not even just him. It seems that everyone sucks at the line. I remember (albeit anecdotally) that Mac's UNI teams were pretty good at the line.

A while back, someone looked up his UNI teams' FT%, as compared to his ISU teams. If I remember right, they were all in the 68-71% range, something like that. At least none of them jumped out as being great or horrible. Granted, that was before NU.

I really think he'll snap out of it. He shot 75% from the line last year. That isn't a skill you just forget and can't get back. He just needs to keep his mechanics consistent. Dendy on the other hand....
