Brackins
If he continues to play like this will he still be drafted? His stock is falling pretty fast, and judging by another thread people arent even picking him to be second team all big 12. So what are the chances he comes back next year if he continues to play like this?

Re: Brackins
It's like clockwork. The mods could just save everyone the effort and auto-post an "is brackins coming back?" thread every couple of days.
And yes, brackins will be drafted, and no, there is no chance he comes back.

Re: Brackins
I honestly dont think he will be, he is playing terrible lately.

Re: Brackins
ok so if you are tired of looking at threads on Brackins why do you continue to post? No one is making you read them, mind your business.

Its actually a topic I like reading people's opinions on, because I agree with your point. I'd just prefer to keep people's opinions contained to one thread, not 10.

Or so I have read. -
Re: Brackins
I think if Brackins continues with numbers he has been getting he would be doing himself a disservice by leaving early for the draft after this season. He had a much better year last year and he was a borderline first rounder. He definitely hasn't done anything to improve his stock.
He is a very good college prayer, but I think he is kind of a tweener for the NBA. He doesn't excel in any one area. He can't bang down low with NBA big men, he isn't quick enough to consistently play outside, and he hasn't shown an exceptional midrange shot.
Just my opinion though, I'm no pro scout.

Re: Brackins
All it takes is one game and his stock shoots up...KU last year. Let's hope it's KU this year again.

Just my opinion though, I'm no pro scout. When you are a 22 yo Junior, there is almost nothing you can do to increase your draft stock by coming back for a senior season, because the NBA draft is all about potential and being a 23 yo at the draft, you have very little potential left.
I have no idea if Brackins will be a first round pick or not, but if he wants to make money in the NBA, he needs to go after this season.

Re: Brackins
There just as many or more NBA busts that leave college early as there are successes.
-
Re: Brackins
I think he would still make a lot more money if he goes in the 2nd or 3rd round, as opposed to staying for his senior year?
-
Re: Brackins
Not sure why everybody is so worried about Brackins.

Players continue to play up until they're in their upper 30's. Not sure what's wrong with a 15 year career potential.

Re: Brackins
He will get drafted on "upside" alone. He is seeing a variety of matchups on the defensive end. Why do you think Gilstrap has been so successful? Brackins has commanded so much attention that it has opened up everyone else, especially MG. Would you rather him forcing up shots so he gets 15-20 shots a game or would you rather him skip it across the floor to get a teammate an open look.
The man can score, everyone knows that. His game is becoming much more versatile due to the different defenses he is seeing.
