Re: Lift suspension or redshirt?
We will be better with 7 guys. Play with a chip on the shoulder, us against the world. These guys can play all day, a quick blow for a TV timeout and they will be good to go. No worrying about being pulled for mistakes. I say we go on a roll. When Colvin comes back we will be even better.

Where is the 27 yr old office worker that said HE could walk on at Iowa State and play basketball. You might have a chance - under Dorr!!!

Re: Lift suspension or redshirt?
I don't think Oliver is ready to play minutes in the Big 12. Pulling his redshirt doesn't help us at all.
I think they should either play with 7 or play JVB (if he agrees), even though he's injured. And Buck gets 20+ minutes a game, which will be huge for him.
I don't really have a problem with shortening Colvin's suspension if the coaching staff thinks he has exceeded their expectations for dealing with it; firm boundaries are drawn and followed; and it's because of Colvin's response, not because of Lucca leaving. If it's natural to shorten the suspension, I have no problem with it.

You have obviously not played any kind of team sport in your life.

Re: Lift suspension or redshirt?
Get Colvin on the floor...NOW! Don't ruin these guy's season to prove some kind of point. Let's let this team play and try and win some games. Obviously, this is only if Chris has made the kind of concessions that I think he has.

Do you seriously think the team wants Colvin on the bench? I don't for a second. These guys want to win and I'd be willing to bet the players think his time off has been punishment enough.

ONLY if desired/asked for by the current players.
For the record, I vote for playing with what we have. I do, however, understand the sentiment. Plus you can always specify higher ongoing standards and the obvious threat of re-suspension -- for the rest of the season.

Re: Lift suspension or redshirt?
Some of our best teams were 6 or 7 deep. Dorr can take some minutes, you play with what you have and keep you integrity and keep the team together. Letting the cancer back in early will further fracture an already fragile team... THE KID WALKED OUT ON HIS TEAM
