The program has not gone backwards....we've been sitting in neutral for about a decade and the clutch slips every time we almost get in gear.

We all criticize the players for bone head mistakes (Dendy's shot against UNI), but they honestly don't have the same IQ as the players he coached at UNI (Stout, Jacobsen, McKowen) Think about it---did Bryan Petersen and Sean Haluska have any business playing Big 12 basketball??? Absolutely not---but they knew their assignments, made very few mistakes, and played an X's and O's style of basketball. You watch Garrett, Colvin, and Brackins highlight videos from high school and you tell me how many good picks they set and how many times they ran offensive sets that lasted more than 25 seconds...Its not a ridiculous comment---I figured somebody would make this a black and white thing...Let the athletes run, let the less gifted athletes slow the game down... Which athletes on the team are from the inner city? It's a simple question.

I hope that gets corrected and we move on we outplayed them the entire game except for three minutes. Texas Tech will be tough, we play like we did against Texas tomorrow night I see a nice W.

And should hire you since you seem to know absolutely everything about coaching. Why do you think he should get anymore of a chance past this year. If we don't end up in the tourny he should know that he is going to be gone.

Please show me where I said he should get any more of a chance past this year.
I have been VERY consistent in saying I expect to make the NCAA, and if we don't make the postseason he should be gone.
If you had actually read my posts, you'd know all I am saying is that is a conversation for after the season, not during the season when we don't know how it will turnout.
Do you think McDermott should be fired after this season if we make the Sweet 16?

Re: McDermott and keeping players on the team
We still have talent on the team just not much depth like I loved in the beginning of the year. Damn it.

Call any of it what you want but it all still points to the reality of the landscape. Deal with it. Write Lucca a nasty note. Picket Lane Kiffen's house. Poke Chizik dolls. Diante---Milwaukee
Craig---L.A.
Colvin---Chicago
Buckley---Detroit
aka the best athletes on the team...

Re: McDermott and keeping players on the team
Hey I agree with you there but we are not a small school where this isn't a big deal. Coach Mac gets paid damn good to produce and in four years what does he have on his resume at ISU that is worth a damn.

And if you can't understand the difference in leaving in the offseason, when you're spot can be filled, game plans can be made without you, teammates aren't relying on you, and leaving the day before a big game, then I don't think there is any help for you.
