For all Mac supporters, who gets the blame?
Seriously who gets the blame for all the lost talent, the lack of on-court performance, and the locker room issues, no BIG wins. Say what you want we won under Floyd, Morgan, and Eustacy even with the transfers. Mac has driven this once proud basketball program into the ground, if not him who is to blame? Sorry but in real life this goes back to the CEO of the company or in this case the coach of the program. Would you still be a manager if everyone started quitting on you and you had no big achievements in your position?

Blame who you want...Doesn't change the situation.
We're okay...Big game tonight.

Re: For all Mac supporters, who gets the blame?
The season isn't over. We don't know if we'll be Big 12 champs, or 10th place in the Big 12. We don't know if we'll be home for the postseason or in the Sweet 16.
Until that is decided, it is just plain wrong to say that this team has a "lack of on-court performance".
the responsibility definitely goes to McDermott, but prescribing this season to the trash heap now is giving up on this team, something I refuse to do.

Hasnt this been talked about over and over and over again?

Re: For all Mac supporters, who gets the blame?
How is a record of 12-5 running the program in the ground? I still like this team and there is a lot of games yet to be played.

But we are not in year one of the GM era...we are in year four and GM's performance as our coach to this point is fair game for criticism...middle of the season or not.
Let me ask you a question...what if ISU lost every remaining Big 12 game (which I don't believe is likely)...would you be on this site asking for us to wait until the conference tournament was over because we still had a chance to make it to the NCAA Tournament?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

Memo to you...we are not in year one...we are in year four and GM's body of work at ISU is more than just the 17 games played this season to date.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

2) If you must assign blame - how about blaming the players.

This is Bush's fault. Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: For all Mac supporters, who gets the blame?
I also will wait out the season on this one. McDermott has to make the NCAA Tourney, IMO, or I will start to be very concerned with his progress. This team can definitely do that, and I do not see losing Lucca has a hindrance to that.

The best thing we can do is support the players and coaches now, see what happens, and then act accordingly after the season.
Somehow I have a good feeling about all of this.

Shouldn't you be an Iowa fan anyway... -
