Re: vent your frustration HERE
It is easy to get frustrated, but I think the guys we have are trying hard. I'm still not a fan of our coach's system - no press, no offensive rebounding - both need to be a priority when you are losing, but never will in Mac's system. Could be a long season with the way KU, KSU, BU and Mizzou are playing. Hope we can get 4 more home wins.

Re: ISU vs Texas Tech Post Game thread
We are not very good. TT is not a good team and I think they outplayed us in every single category. If Mac is in trouble if we don't make the tourney, then it looks like he is in trouble. This team will not make post season. sigh

Re: ISU vs Texas Tech Post Game thread
It's the same thing every game. Poor free throw shooting. Poor rebounding, even though the other team is much smaller. No perimeter defense at all. No pressure defense of any sort. Inability to finish drives or in-the-lane shots. 2 of your big guys taking 3 point shots outside instead of working it inside and drawing fouls. Same old nonsense, game after game.
Remember GMac had said earlier in the week that they were working on some new things to get CB the ball down low? Did anyone see anything new tonite?
Also, whenever TT screwed up, or ISU started to make the slightest run......Knight took a time out. TT would make a run......it would build......and GMac did nothing.
And the most ridiculous thing of all.....first it was bad enough that you took the suspension off Colvin...but then you have him in there at a critical time in the game? What message does that send to him or the rest of the team? This whole program is a mess.......sorry.......but it is.

How many times can a guy let himself get picked as they pass it cross court to hit ANOTHER open three before you change something up.

Re: ISU vs Texas Tech Post Game thread
The rebounding is just inexcusable. We have the bodies.
It's an effort thing. It's a desire thing.
Always has been, always will be.

I think this team early in a game can afford to force some Brackins shots inside. He may miss, but it will create the tempo and expectation and get him used to what he needs to do. Getting him the ball down low and taking the shot while driving into the defender would be a good start to a game whether it produces points or not.

Has Pollard been quiet on the MBB performances? Just wondering if there are any signs or lack of signs on his level of support for the current staff?

I'd just be happy to see him come off a screen and get hit with a pass on a cut to the basket, don't even give the double team a chance to recognize he has the ball before it's too late.

Seriously - Jamie - what were you thinking? Its not like anyone was trying to hire him away...
Craig may have to come back next year. He disappeared at key times tonight.
We should shoot 3000 free throws during the week. We rush those shots and miss them.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: ISU vs Texas Tech Post Game thread
You just don't see much intensity from this team. McD said that his team has a fragile personality, but a team usually takes on the personality of the coach.

Re: ISU vs Texas Tech Post Game thread
That one was hard to watch. There were lots of areas where they did not play well, but I thought this was the first game where free throw shooting finally cost us a game. At least 3 misses on the front end of a 1 and 1, and multiple other misses. Not only would the free throws themselves have overtaken the lead, but hit free throws and we don't have to force things on the offensive end that resulted in bad shots or turnovers.
