Re: CBS Sports Take on Lucca - "A Shameful Twist"
Everyone is staying on the side of ISU not Lucca...
I like it.

I'm still in awe that he went to West Cyde Wings last night. Anyone hear anything more about that? Did he actually stay to watch the whole game, or did he quit halfway through his basket of wings and leave?

Not that it's right, but why would you go out at all until you leave now?

With 21 wins, the Cyclones are probably in the NCAA tournament and everybody gets extensions. With 19, they're probably not, and fans ask questions.
This made me chuckle.

Re: CBS Sports Take on Lucca - "A Shameful Twist"
To get up and leave like that doesn't show much respect for his coaches, his teammates, the fans and the university," Texas Tech coach Pat Knight told Randy Peterson of the Des Moines Register before Wednesday night's game. "He's being selfish, leaving his team. ... To leave a team like Staiger left Iowa State -- when they have a chance to do some good things in this league -- is unheard of."
I think Pat Knights quote was great and worth repeating.

I don't know, there was a thread about it last night started by someone who works there and said Lucca was there. Out of morbid curiousity I'm really curious how it went for him... I couldn't believe he would show his face in public.

Re: CBS Sports Take on Lucca - "A Shameful Twist"
You know, there are some people out there giving us a lot better chance at the tourney than we are. I don't think we have a good chance right now, but some others do. That's kind of nice I guess. 21 wins would be 9-7 in the conference. I could see that possibly happening. We really have to be tough at home though. I don't think this game is a must win but if we win that puts us in a good position.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -
Re: CBS Sports Take on Lucca - "A Shameful Twist"
I liked the part where he said it could be the difference between going 7-9 and 9-7, which going 7-9 doesn't get us to the tourney but 9-7 could
"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. I’m going to approach all 12 games this way: We’re going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, we’re going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I don’t know, and you’re right, I won’t put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12 -

Exactly. Contrary to popular belief on the message boards, the season is not over. Win on Saturday and we are at .500 in the conference. The majority of fans would have been happy given the schedule of our first 4 games to be at .500.

Where is the road game win and if we lose to Kansas where are there 2 road wins? From what I have seen this is an uphill battle. The games are out there, let's go get them!

I got to tell you, I like Greg and I wish he could turn that corner, but it is almost like these guys have to be learn how to win games.

All we have to do is knock off the #3 team in the country and we're back to .500... with mcdermott's previous record versus ranked teams, I don't know why any of you would think that's unlikely

It is definitely an uphill battle, it all depends on how our team responds to whats been going on and if they can come together as a team. We know we have the talent, we just need to see it to its potential. Do we have the talent to get 9 wins? sure, but if we want around 9 wins, we have to play with more consistency and toughness
