See if we can pull of a W tomorrow.

Prepare yourself for the "different players...same coaching staff" reply.

I think Ejim is my new favorite player.

I just recently heard about Lucca Staiger leaving for Germany and was really disappointed. When you consider the fact that someone like Craig (Brackins) came back to play another year instead of entering the NBA draft to help the school win and then he just packs up and leaves it doesn't really show much about his character.

You know, Ejim is more talented offensively than I originally thought. He obviously has a lot to work on, but I really see him being the type of player next year that factors in with a lot of hustle points. Whether it be working the offensive glass or getting out and running the floor, I think he'll show up plenty in the scorebook and hopefully in the process, get some confidence in his perimeter game. I'm not saying double-digits, but I don't think 8-9 pts per game is out of the question.

Might not be accurate to date, but at one point I heard he was leading his prep team in scoring...His prep team is loaded.

Re: Even Melvin Ejim is getting in on the
He will start next year IMO. I think he has to unless Oliver is better than I think or we are willing to go either real small or real big. RIGHT NOW I see the starters being this for the majority of the year.
Garrett, Colvin, Ejim, Brackins, Ham
I just don't think Brackins is leaving as of right now. I look around and there are a ton of guys that are jumping him in the draft because he has not performed all that well. Combine that with the fact that he really doesn't project at a position real well right now and I think another year would be in his best interest. I think he would have been better off leaving last year, but hindsight is 20/20. There is still time for him to bump himself up but he better get on it.

we cannot continue to expect huge things out of freshman and build them up to unachievable expectations. everybody please understand there is a definite learning curve for the big 12.
Color me shocked if he starts one big12 game next year.

Based on performance alone, you're probably right, but age is a major factor here. The longer he waits, the fewer prime years the NBA can hope to get out of him, and his value decreases. I think he leaves after this year.
