Truly the words of a Cyclone Fanatic.

I will always care about the season at hand, regardless of my feelings about the coach, AD, or team. If I didn't, I couldn't call myself a Cyclone fan.

I think I give up a dozen times a season, only to come right back the following morning with my cup of Cyclone Koolaid. I can't imagine being apathetic to cyclone athletics, no matter how bad the team may be or frustrating it is.

I used to think that way as well but with the MBB I am just done making sure I watch/go to the game. I just dont care because I know i will be disappointed. The MBB just isnt a priority anymore.......

I don't give up until the last horn sounds, on the last Cyclone game of the year. And then I huddle up in a corner and cry.

What could you care less about?
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I still watch every game but not with the same emotion I did in the past.

If you just don't care, why are you posting about mens basketball on a message board? A true cyclone fan cares, you may be happy or you may be ****** off, but a true fan cares and watches for one reason or the other.

Re: Who is mired in apathy

I have been a die-hard ISU MBB fan for a long time. I was stunned when I unintentionally missed the Texas game. I have gone out of my way to watch every single game that is on TV, and I buy the ESPN Full Court every year just for that reason. I didn't realize it, but all of a sudden a week or so ago watching ISU basketball just went completely off my radar. Apathy has never, ever set in at the beginning of conference season for me, but I realize it has this year. I have lost all hope for this season. We can rah-rah all we want, but ending up with 15-16 wins is completely unacceptable to me, and that's where we're headed. Even if it was 17-18 wins, that still sucks in my book.

First off I asked a question.
Secondly I am a fan through and through and bleed cardinal and gold.
Thirdly I will never blindly accept a coach and the way things are going

Never said you have to blindly accept a coach and the way things are going, but if you truly "bleed cardinal and gold" you would still be attached to the tv/radio or at every game just because you are really that much of a fan. So sorry if I don't buy the big cyclone fan routine.

We have at least 16 games left right? And we are 12-6 right now? Damn, you're right we are terrible!
