Is it just me?
Johnny Orr coached teams were fun to watch and were almost always the underdog. IIRC If they lost it was no big deal, because they always had a good chance to win every game, I have lost that feeling in the past 10 years or so. If we win it was because the other team had a bad day, it wasn't because of stellar defense or a hot shooting offense. Those last two things never seem to happen.

The bolded is an opinion, so yeah, it's just you (and some others, I am sure).

Morgan coached fun teams to watch too.

I agree, Orr coached teams were fun to watch at home, but on the road was different story. Heck, who can forget Orr, putting smaller player's on the opposing teams taller player's, and having it work.

Re: Is it just me?
Even Mac will tell you that his style is not meant to be "fun". But it's meant to win. Supposedly.

All I ask for is improvement! This team makes the same mistakes EVERY game. That's a sign of poor coaching. Mac may be molding fine young men, but he's not molding fine young basketball players, which I believe is part of his responsibility.

Re: Is it just me?
Morgan was a better coach. He went to the NCAA tourney and won a game!!! His problems were off the court, McDermott's problems are on the court. Morgan's last team did not play defense, McDermott's teams do not play good defense either. Morgan's teams could score, McDermott's teams can't.

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

Re: Is it just me?
NOPE, it isn't just you. Gregs teams were only fun when I saw them ONCE. That was when Mike Taylor single handedly defeated Minnesota and caused them to fire Mason.

Re: Is it just me?
I think if you take off your hate colored glasses, this team is fun to watch. I'm enjoying the game today, even though they are getting beat.

Re: Is it just me?
Morgan had a win a Texas, Nebraska, and he lost in OT at Kansas and beat Kansas at home. We had a 7 GAME WINNING STREAK, what has GMAC done. That is just off the top of my head, i don't think McDermott done? I doubt he even has a 7 game winning streak against cupcakes.

Re: Is it just me?
The two players that seem to bring it night in and night out for GMAC are Mike Taylor and Gilstrap. Brackins is getting worse and garrett is starting to struggle, which is extremely frustrating.

Glistrap may bring it, but he doesn't seem to learn, he makes the same mistake ALL the time, he could be even better, scary!
