Any news on MBB recruiting?
We have four players coming in next year. But with the departure of two players in recent weeks, we could recruit two more. So, any news or rumors on who we may recruit to fill the additional two spots?

If the entire team we have right now decides to come back, we will only have 2 scholies open. JVB and Gilstrap are the only seniors.

There are scholarships available for the leaving of Staiger and Pomlee. Brackins is likely gone and Gilstrap, even if he gets the extra year, why would he come back? He's going to be a draft pick, he'll take the money (he has a family to support).
As for having four commitments, I'm not sure who else there is besides Melvin Ejim, Demarcus Phillips and Jordan Rainey. Rivals lists Durran Hollis, but he is a commit for football, and since he is in both (fball and bball) databases, he shows up as a commit for both sports. I doubt he will play basketball.

As thin as we are this year (now) I think we have to go after replacements.
What makes me laugh is the folks who get testy about using up all the scholarships and not leaving some "open". You put it all in to one year and the next will sort itself out. If you have a chance to put a talented kid on your team you take him. For the exact reasons we are seeing this year.
