Staten
I see that ISU recruit Wesley Staten was benched for 'a coach's decision' in Sioux City West's 39-30 loss to Elk Point Jefferson. Staten finished with 3 points.
Word is Staten walked out of the gym in the 3rd quarter.
Can anyone confirm?
Unfortunately, this is not the first less than flattering story about Staten.
Given the recent player retention issues...Does Mac need to reconsider this offer at some point?

Re: Staten
No we need the talent. We really need guards. Someone is going to take a chance on him. He is to good. Might as well be us.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Staten is frustrated with his team...They are bad, really bad. Not worried about Staten.

Re: Staten
In another thread someone said that Staten is an 18 year old soph. Is this true?

Wow. Yeah, that's just the kind of kid we need to bring into our program...especially in light of all the "locker room drama" we apparently are experiencing right now. Wow.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

I am in no way saying we should bolt from Staten, but to not be concerned at all about a kid that throws a fit when the going gets tough? Especially when he's coming to a program that already has at least one of those players and is going through a very rough patch for the program?

Wow, didn't take long to go right off the cliff there...continue the meltdown, I'll stay out of it.

So what you're saying is he's the type that when things start to go bad, he shuts down and gets an attitude? Like he's entitled to always be on top, and if he isn't, it's his teammates' fault?
