We'd have to beat KU, KSU twice, beat CU twice, beat Baylor and beat kNU to even sniff the post season. Plus, win at least one game in the Big 12 tourney.

I could be wrong, But I'm pretty sure we're the only team that's even won an NCAA Tournament game since 2002. We beat Minnesota. Didn't Iowa lose to Cincinnati one year, and NW State the next? And Drake got beat by Western Kentucky. UNI never won one under McDermott. So...

I don't want to hijack your thread (but I'm going to do it anyway), looking at just Iowa State, here are our NCAA tournament appearances since Johnny broke the 40+ year streak:

1985
1986
1988
1989
1992
1993
1995
1996
1997
2000
2001
2005

In 25 years, we have never gone more than 4 years without an NCAA tournament appearance. And only once was there a 4 year drought. On average, we make the NCAA tournament about once every 2 years.

You are correct, the last Iowa win in the NCAA tournament was in 01 against Creighton.

We stink and will continue to stink because we are stuck with a horrible contract for a coach who does not appear to be able to coach at this level (insert horrendous record against big12 teams here). Learn to live with it appears to be the mantra of those in the know.
