As I understand things Gilstrap spend 2 years out of college. I'm curious whether the NCAA has ever granted a 6th year medical hardship to someone to compensate for a year that they were not enrolled in school. If they have done this before, then I think he has a chance. If not, I doubt whether he will get the 6th year since the NCAA is normally very hesitant to set a precedent for anything.
